Acceptable Use
This platform is intended for legitimate civic engagement. You agree to use We Are One for:
- Contacting your genuine elected representatives about issues that matter to you
- Expressing your views respectfully and constructively
- Participating in democratic processes in good faith
You agree NOT to use this service to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate any person, including politicians and their staff
- Send abusive, defamatory, or hateful content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or location
- Send spam or mass unsolicited communications
- Engage in any illegal activity
- Attempt to manipulate or abuse the platform
Your Responsibilities
When using We Are One, you are responsible for:
- The content of any emails you send through the platform
- Ensuring your communications are truthful and accurate
- Complying with all applicable Australian laws
- Maintaining the security of your own email account
AI-Generated Content
Our platform uses AI to help draft email content based on your inputs. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is a starting point and should be reviewed before sending
- You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before it is sent
- The final email represents your views, not ours
Disclaimer of Warranties
We Are One is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The accuracy of representative contact information (though we strive to keep it current)
- That emails will be delivered or read by recipients
- Any particular outcome from your communications
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, We Are One and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
This includes, but is not limited to, any consequences arising from emails you send, responses you receive, or any actions taken by recipients of your communications.
Donations
We Are One is a self-funded project that operates on voluntary donations. The service is provided free of charge. Donations help cover hosting, maintenance, and development costs. Donations are not tax-deductible and do not entitle donors to any special privileges or services.
Termination
